A Strategic Step to Enhance Education in Al-Ghaydah
Within the framework of the ongoing developmental partnership to support the educational sector in Yemen, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ali Yasser, Governor of Al-Mahrah Governorate, laid the foundation stone for the Al-Iman School construction project in Al-Ghaydah District. This vital project is part of the Kuwaiti Educational Complex Project, generously funded by our brothers at Nafa Charity Association in the State of Kuwait, and implemented on the ground by Al-Noor Charity – Yemen, aiming to provide an integrated and sustainable educational environment for our students and educational staff in the governorate.
Project Components and Engineering Specifications
The inauguration took place in the presence of high-ranking officials, including the First Deputy Governor, Brigadier General Dr. Mukhtar bin Awaid al-Jaafari, the Deputy Governor for the Education Sector, Mr. Ali Salem Qarahaf, and the Director General of the Education Office, Mr. Samir Harrash, alongside a visiting delegation from the Kuwaiti Nafa Charity Association. The Governor praised the continuous humanitarian and developmental interventions of the brotherly State of Kuwait, recalling the deep historical and fraternal bonds connecting the two nations.
The project consists of a modern building including the following facilities:
- 13 classrooms distributed over two floors to accommodate students and reduce overcrowding.
- Integrated administrative offices including rooms for the administration, vice principal, social worker, secretariat, and a dedicated archive.
- Equipped teachers' rooms and a storage facility designated for textbooks and educational materials.
- A modern computer laboratory to enhance students' digital and technical skills.
- Essential service facilities, including restrooms, a surrounding wall, and a main gate to secure the school campus.
